Marine Naturalist

Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Elle admired the sea from afar: watching movies like Free Willy and Aquamarine on repeat and even sewing herself a mermaid tail. Elle followed her love for the ocean to St. Petersburg, Florida where she took classes in marine science and graduated with degrees in Environmental Studies and Spanish as well as a minor in Biology.

Elle has spent her summers outside, working as an educator on a farm in Illinois and in Glacier National Park, and traveling to Central America to improve her Spanish skills and experience the spectacular ecosystems and wildlife, including her first humpback whale.

After four years enjoying the dolphins and manatees of the Tampa Bay, Elle is excited to experience the orcas, humpbacks, and harbor porpoises of the Salish Sea. In her free time, Elle enjoys learning about local plants and crafting with whatever materials she can.
