Although Rainah grew up in Minnesota, she am originally from the Tacoma area of Washington and spent much of my childhood exploring the beaches and forests while hiking or camping with my family. After moving to MN, she continued to hike and camp in the warmer months and now attends Macalester College in St. Paul. As a rising senior, Rainah is studying biology and environmental science, then hopes to go to graduate school in the next couple of years. Continuing studies in marine vertebrate ecology and wildlife conservation will help Rainah achieve her goals of spreading awareness about ocean species preservation and eventually teaching in those subjects.
When not working, Rainah can be found hiking, reading, swimming, playing tennis, or napping in my hammock! She is really looking forward to being back in the Puget Sound and learning more about the marine life there!
